My love for writing started when my sister started a travel blog in 2017. It was super fun documenting my travels with her, and at the same time, I invested in learning about SEO which helped us rank posts on page 1 of Google, bringing thousands of visitors around the world to the blog.
Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 travel was restricted so I explored other forms of writing. This was when I discovered copywriting and enrolled to study copywriting at the College of Media and Publishing where I trained with copywriters and journalists to become a certified copywriter.
Instead of binging on Netflix, I started copywriting during the lockdown in the evenings and weekends whilst balancing a full-time law job. I wanted location and financial freedom for so long, but I’ve always felt scared to make the leap. Sound familiar?
I didn’t know where to begin. I was in debt, and living in London, I didn’t have much money, but I believed in myself. So I took a big step and hired a business and life coach. I’ve never looked back since, and within ten months, I left the corporate world!
